The other day I went to Home Depot to get some flowers. My front yard is in desperate need of something colorful. I walked around for 45 minutes and found nothing I liked. Why is it that when you want to spend money there is nothing to buy but when you don’t you find everything you need and end up spending a fortune? Anyway, I spent nothing that day but I did see these paint color samples that reminded me of something I did with Ashlyn when I was teaching her her colors.
If you go to the paint section look for the Disney section. They have cute little Mickey Mouse shaped color samples. I stole borrowed one of each color and glued them onto an index card. These homemade flashcards were a big hit with her. After she mastered her colors I wrote the color words on the back and we practiced reading the words.
