I’m not one to complain about the weather because for one I’m not 80 years old and two I’ve come to realize that I don’t have any control over it so why bother. However, we have been home for about a week and a half and I feel like it has rained every afternoon. The rest of my family seems okay with this but I need to get out. Chris and Ashlyn spent the afternoon making a boat out of an orange juice carton so once the rain slowed down we all ventured outside to float it down the gutters.

It wasn’t as exciting to watch as we thought it would be so instead we had gutter races. Chris did this as a kid and he wanted to pass it along to the girls. We each picked our sticks and then started the race. It was fun cheering on our sticks as they scooted down the gutters. Once Mommy and Daddy kept winning (we are both pretty competitive… yes even at gutter racing) we let the girls have there own race. Emily would follow behind it screaming “Hey, get back here.” and then pick it up. Ashlyn just kept yelling and cheering hers on.
It was actually a lot of fun and the girls had a blast. I love it when my kids experience good pure fun!

Do you think we’ll see the day when LCD monitors are replaced by holographic displays? Screens that literally appear out of thin air in full color?
What do you think? Holographic technology is still fairly new but there are scientists out there who believe we’ve only begun to tap into it.
There are also people working on holographic based cloaking devices for use in combat. In 10 years we could be looking back on the technology of today and laughing.
Thoughts?
