BBQ Chicken

Okay so I can’t really call this a recipe and use it for Tempt My Tummy Tuesday but it is so simple and yummy I just had to share it.  Here it is.

  1. Put frozen chicken breasts in the crock-pot.  I use 5 for my family of 4 and then I can have left overs.
  2. Put a half a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce over the chicken.
  3. Let it slow cook about 6 hours on low.  (I can smell it as I am typing this.  We are having it tonight!)
  4. When you are ready to eat it, shred the chicken and serve.  I usually add more sauce too.

That’s it!  We have it on buns for sandwiches or with rice and a veggie.  My kind of cooking!

Sounds yummy, thanks. I pretty much only cook using my crock pot, so if you want some good recipes, let me know. I have a bunch of pretty good ones that are, more importantly, easy!

I just posted a comment on an older post of yours, but I just had to comment on this one because I wanted to second that this is a great and easy meal!! We love shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches at our house. I found a recipe on allrecipes.com to add a little more “kick” than just barbecue sauce. You add worcestershire sauce, Italian dressing, and a little brown sugar with the BBQ sauce. I’d love to pass it along if you are interested. You make it the same way using frozen chicken breasts.
