Today is the first official day of our Spring Break. My husband and I are both teachers so we all get a break. We have already had so much fun and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds. Every year I have the girls write a list of things they want to do over the break. I love doing this because I find out what is important to them. I have been amazed each year at the simple things my girls love to do. I never promise that we will get to them all but most years we have. Here are the lists for this week:
Ashlyn’s List
- go swimming
- have a date with Mommy
- get ice cream at Bruster’s
- make a bird’s nest
- spend the night at Nana’s
Emily’s List
- stay home and play Little People and with my Princess house
- go swimming
- play a lot with my sister
- go over to Grandma’s house
- go to Silver Springs (we are going tomorrow and have been talking about it with them.)
I love the idea of having the kids make a wish list like this one at the beginning of a break… we do the same type of thing when we go on a vacation, so that we can try to be sure that we’re doing or seeing the things they’re most excited about. Great idea!
