If you’ve never used this website I highly recommend it. It’s got everything from lesson plans, Bible stories, creative discipline ideas and fun activities to teach children how to have integrity. This week we are talking about accepting and loving others. After reading our memory verse John 13:34-35 on loving others we talked about what the verse was saying. It doesn’t say we must love others only if they are similar to us or only if they look like us. It doesn’t say love others when you feel like it or if you are in a good mood. It says to love others like Jesus loves us.
I had them make lots of different kinds of snowflakes.
Then I drew a tree in the winter and I had them decorate the tree using the snowflakes.
I told them that that tree was God’s family and that the snowflakes were like all the different kinds of people in his family. They are all different but beautiful!
