Sunday Chris went to Home Depot to get a few things we needed around the house.  He was also going to look at getting a new grill.  Ours is going on 10 years old and is falling apart.  He called me from the store after about an hour of looking to tell me he didn’t like any they had.  He said he would be home in a little.

I was in Ashlyn’s room trying to  go through her drawers when I heard,”Anne, can you come hear for a minute?”  I walked out to find a new vacuum.  Not just any vacuum though.  My dream vacuum…. a Dyson!  This might not be a big deal to some of you, but to me it was huge!  I’m not one to spend money on much of anything.  One, we don’t have much to spend and two I am cheap.  I told him I would keep it if he promised not to get me anything else for Mother’s Day or my birthday in August.

I have been vacuuming ever since.

Card Hanger

Here is a great idea that I borrow from my friend, Sarah. She buys a ribbon long enough to hang down both sides of her daughters’ doors. Then using clothes pins, she hangs their artwork, birthday invitations, and cards on the doors.

It’s a place the kids can hang their stuff to look at and show off to their friends but it doesn’t create clutter all over the house.

Thanks Sarah!
